Manchester United are willing to make Casemiro one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League in order to entice him to join them at Old Trafford.
Although Casemiro had not been overly eager to leave Real Madrid this summer, newfound interest in the Brazilian has caused him to change his mind.
The Brazilian international is very much respected by both Carlo Ancelotti and Real, who both want him to remain in Spain. The European champions have informed Casemiro that they won’t prevent him from leaving if he expresses a desire to do so and if their asking price is met.
If United and the 30-year-old can agree on personal terms, a deal worth £50 million may be reached between the two; however, if all add-ons are met, the total value of the transaction may exceed £60 million.
Real Madrid and Chelsea have been in close contact regarding a potential deal, and Chelsea has been considering making a move in the coming weeks.
However, United is speaking with Casemiro’s agents to ensure that the player joins them at Old Trafford.
