Transfer: Man United’s top defender leaves Ten Hag’s side

Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly, has completed a permanent move to Besiktas.

The Ivorian joined the Turkish side late last night.

Bailly has spent the last seven years at Manchester United, but was on loan at Marseille last season.

Manchester United boss, ten Hag made it clear the 29-year-old is not in his long-term plans.

A Besiktas statement read, “Our club has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the final transfer of Ivorian defender Eric Bailly.

“We wish Eric Bailly, who we believe will provide important services to our club, great success with our glorious jersey, and present it to the public with our respect.”

Manchester United added, “Everyone at United thanks Eric for his contribution while at the club and wishes him all the best for the future.”
