Manchester United have agreed to sell midfielder, Donny van de Beek, to French Ligue1 side, Lorient.

It now depends on the player to agree to join the Ligue1 side.

United have accepted a loan offer from Lorient for the Dutchman

De Beek is out of favour at Manchester United.

Manager Erik ten Hag is said to have told his countryman to leave the club and seek first-team football elsewhere.

The former Ajax midfielder moved to Manchester United in a £34millon deal in 2020.

His time at Manchester has been ravaged by injuries and a lack of form.

He had spent six month on loan at Everton in 2022 and returned to Old Trafford after Ten Hag’s appointment.

Both men worked together at Ajax and it was hoped he could resurrect his time at the club.

Ten Hag is keen on bringing in a new midfielder and has sanctioned Van de Beek’s departure.

French reporter, Santi Aouna reports that United have therefore accepted a bid from Ligue 1 side Lorient for the midfielder.
