Transfer: I’m going nowhere – Barca star insists, despite reportedly not being wanted by Xavi

Fati insists he’s going nowhere despite rumours that Barcelona boss, Xavi does not want him

Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has insisted that he wants to remain at the club despite claims that manager Xavi Hernandes does not want him at Camp Nou next season.

Multiple transfer rumours are linking the 20-year-old with a move away from Camp Nou this summer.

The young forward has established himself as one of the best talents in La Liga over the past four campaigns, helping the Catalans to success in three trophies, including a La Liga title and a Copa del Rey crown.

But the Spain international dropped down in the pecking order last campaign, starting just 14 of his 51 appearances for Barcelona.

90min reports that Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all shown interest in signing the winger’s situation at his club for months.

Speaking to Teledeporte, the forward said, “I have a contract with Barça and my intention is to continue improving and growing there in the future.

“That is my intention. I have a long contract there and I’m quite happy right now… both in my club and in the national team.”
