Manchester United target Diogo Costa has opened up on his future at Portuguese side FC Porto.

David de Gea has come under fire after several below-par performances this season and Costa is among the goalkeepers on United’s radar as the Spaniard’s possible replacement.

The goalkeeper was asked directly about a possible move to United after Porto’s Portuguese Cup on Sunday, Costa replied: “That’s the internet.

“It is a happiness and an honour to play for my favourite club.

“What they say is what they say, there is nothing concrete, I have a contract until 2027 and I hope to continue, let’s see.”

De Gea was widely blamed for the Red Devils’ 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Sunday as the former Spain number one could not stop Ilkay Gundogan’s similar strikes in the 13th second and 56th minute of the game.
