Transfer: Chelsea agree €12m deal for Molde youngster, Fofana on his 20th birthday

According to reports, Chelsea and Molde have reached a deal worth €12 million (£11 million/$12 million) for Ivorian forward David Datro Fofana.

The Ivory Coast international reportedly agreed to a transfer to Stamford Bridge on his 20th birthday, giving the youngster even more reason to rejoice.

According to Fabrizio Romano, there has been “full agreement between all parties” regarding Fofana’s relocation to England and tests on the player will now be conducted in west London.

Fofana signed a four-year contract when he joined Molde in Norway in February 2021, but after scoring 24 goals in 65 games, he is now getting ready to face a new challenge with Premier League powerhouses.

Fofana will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of former Molde stars who came to England before him, including current Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and legendary Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
