Ajax defender, Calvin Bassey, has claimed he is not looking to leave the Dutch club this summer, amid interest from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Bassey joined the Eredivisie side last year and enjoyed a mixed campaign with the former European champions.
The 23-year-old started his time with the club on good note earning plaudits from pundits and former players.
The left-back however lost his place in the starting lineup in the second half of the campaign following poor run of form.
Bassey claimed his main objective is doing well for the club next season.
“I trained all summer,” he told Ajax TV.
“My intention was to return in peak condition. With a new coach at the helm, I’m determined to kick off on a positive note and hopefully make a significant impact. I’ve put in the hard work, and I’m confident it will pay off.”
