Hasan Salihamidzi, the director of Bayern Munich, has insisted that they will not replace Robert Lewandowski with Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
The winner of the Bundesliga has a €50 million deal with Barcelona for Lewandowski.
The 33-year-old is now set to sign a three-year contract with Barca after remaining steadfast in his desire to leave Bayern this summer.
As a result, Bayern must find a replacement for their star center-forward.
Ronaldo, who also wants to leave Old Trafford, is one of the names they have been associated with.
But Salihamidzić told SPORT1: “I have a lot of respect for Cristiano Ronaldo, his successes and his career.
“But once again: that was and is not a topic for us.”
