Oliver Kahn, the CEO of Bayern Munich, has so far declined to talk about a deal involving Harry Kane of Tottenham.
Recently, the former goalkeeper referred to Kane as a “dream of the future,” and Bayern manager Julian Naglesmann also expressed his admiration for the striker publicly, which prompted an irate response from Spurs manager Antonio Conte.
When asked for an update on Bayern’s interest in Kane, Kahn declined to get drawn into a discussion about the player out of apparent concern that he would anger Conte once more.
Kahn told Bild, “I can just say that Harry Kane is an outstanding striker who is now under contract at Tottenham.”
Conte reiterated the club’s desire to keep Kane around for the foreseeable future and dismissed Bayern’s interest as “only rumours.”
