Following an extended and drawn-out saga, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement on a price for Antoine Griezmann.
In order to secure the services of the World Cup winner in 2019, Barcelona paid Atletico £107 million as part of his release clause.
He returned to the Wanda Metropolitano, though, after just two seasons, signing a two-year loan agreement.
According to numerous reports, the two sides agreed that if Griezmann participated in 50% of the games for which he was available, Atletico would have to permanently sign him for €40 million.
In his first season, the Frenchman played in 80% of the games; this term, Atletico started reducing that percentage by limiting his playing time.
Griezmann has three goals in 10 appearances across all competitions this season. The former Real Sociedad player has reportedly agreed to a new contract that will keep him at Atleti until 2026, according to Graeme Bailey of 90 Min.
