The offer from AC Milan for Raphael Onyedika, a star for the Danish Superliga club FC Midtjylland, has been rejected.
AC Milan has been in talks with Midtjylland for several weeks, but the latter rejected their €5 million bid.
Midtjylland hope to sell the 21-year-old for around €8 million.
AC Milan’s technical director, Paolo Maldini, and director of football, Frederic Massara, have scouted Onyedika extensively.
The young midfielder is praised for his explosiveness and ball intelligence.
In 2019, Onyedika joined FC Midtjylland’s Academy from local club FC Ebedei.
Following the departure of his compatriot, Frank Onyeka, to Brentford last summer, the player has grown to become one of the team’s key stars.
