Top star returns to Arsenal as Nice release Rose Barkley

Former Everton and Chelsea star Ross Barkley has been released by Ligue 1 club Nice.

The 29-year-old joined Nice on a free transfer in September following his release by Chelsea.

The former England international was a flop at Stamford Bridge with the Blues letting him go for free.

He made 28 appearances in all competitions, scoring four times, but the club announced he was being released at the end of his contract.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe has also returned to Arsenal, while Joe Bryan heads back to Fulham.
