Tanguy Nianzou, a centre back from Bayern Munich, has joined Sevilla on a long-term contract that runs through 2027. It’s estimated that the transfer fee was €20 million.
Nianzou, who turned 20 only in June, played for Bayern in 22 matches across all competitions as the team won another Bundesliga championship.
The Paris-born French Under-20 international left Paris Saint-youth Germain’s programme in 2019 and switched to German football.
Nianzou’s move to Sevilla marks his third overseas assignment in his brief career.
Nianzou is anticipated to take Jules Kounde’s place in the Sevilla team after his fellow countryman recently moved to Barcelona.
Following another top-four finish in La Liga, Sevilla will compete in the Champions League for a third straight season in 2021–2022.
