The Super Eagles also retain their position as the sixth best nation in Africa.
They are behind Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt on the continent.
The West Africans were last in action in June when they defeated the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone 3-2 in a keenly contested 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Monrovia.
The three-time African champions will next face Sao Tome and Principe in a 2023 AFCON qualifier in September.
There are no changes at all in the top ten, which is made up solely of European and South American teams.
World champions Argentina retain top position in the ranking.
The next ranking will be published on September 21.
