Sierra Leone’s Leone Stars will train in Conakry, Guinea, ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
In their first game in the qualifiers, Josh Keister’s team will face the Super Eagles on Thursday at Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
The Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau will visit Sierra Leone four days later at the General Lasana Conte Stadium in Conakry.
The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have yet to approve Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown to host international matches.
Keister and his technical crew are scheduled to arrive in Conakry on Wednesday (today).
For both games, Keister has summoned a total of 25 players.
Captain Steve Caulker, Queen Park Rangers defender Osman Kakay, Mohammed Buya Turay, and FC Crotone’s Augustus Kargbo are among the players.
The Leone Stars were eliminated from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations group stage in Cameroon.
