Serie A: Roma steward sacked for taking selfie with Osimhen

Roma have sacked a steward, Matteo Lo Cicero, after he took selfies with Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen scored a late winner as his club won 1-0 in a Serie A clash.

18-year-old Cicero was then caught by one of the Roma executives taking the pictures.

He had to surrender his badge and was fired: it is forbidden for stewards to talk to players.

He’s also no longer allowed to work for Roma matches.

Osimhen tried to make amends, but without success. The striker would see to it that Lo Cicero gets another job.

Lo Cicero followed the game from the family stand, the place where relatives of the players sit. Afterwards, he took the risk and sought out Osimhen for a photo.

“My hands were shaking, my dream had come true,” Lo Cicero told Serie A News.

“I showed him all my pictures and videos of him and he seemed to really appreciate it.

“I’m obsessed with Victor and always looking for stories about him. He was even happy when he saw the cake for my 18th birthday.” There was a picture of Osimhen on it.
