Serie A: Di Maria apologizes for red card as Monza shock Juventus

Juventus winger, Angel Di Maria, has apologized to the club’s supporters following their defeat to Monza on Sunday.

Di Maria was shown a red card as Monza stunned Juve 1-0 on Sunday.

The Argentina winger later posted to social media: “I want to apologise to everyone for this inappropriate reaction I had on the field.

“Leaving the team with one less in such a difficult moment of the championship made us lose the game. Losing is only my fault. I’m so sorry.

“I am a professional but also a human being who makes mistakes and knows how to recognise them.”

Meanwhile, Di Maria’s wife later defended her husband.
