When Nigeria takes on Sao Tome and Principe in their second match of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has promised that the team will play quality and entertaining football.
Kemifilani recalls that Nigeria defeated Sierra Leone 2-1 in their first qualifier match at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.
On Monday, the Super Eagles will travel to Sao Tome and Principe for their second game. They would, however, play on a high-quality surface at the Stade Adrar in Morocco, one of the continent’s best stadiums.
Nigeria, Musa believes, could offer something better if it had a better playing surface.
“We want to win against Sao Tome and Principe”, Musa said at the pre-match presser as per Victor Modo.
“But definitely we have to play good football like the coach always wants. And as you can see, we have a very good pitch here(Agadir), so you will see a very different Super Eagles tomorrow”
Nigeria are huge favorites heading into the match, and they’ll be looking for their second win against a Sao Tome and Principe side that gave up five goals against Guinea Bissau.
