Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka, has claimed England’s Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.
Saka was selected by fans as the Three Lions’ best player of the last 12 months, ahead of second-place Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane, who finished in third.
The 22-year-old scored seven goals and grabbed three assists in 10 appearances for England during the 2022/23 season, which included his first senior hat-trick against North Macedonia in June.
He received the award on Monday and was surprised to earn the gong for the second successive campaign. Saka finished ahead of Declan Rice and Kane to lift the 2021/22 gong.
Now, Saka has become the third player within the last decade to win the prize for two years on the bounce after Kane and Wayne Rooney. Saka, who has 28 caps to his name, was also handed a special present to mark his 22nd birthday.
