Richarlison, an Everton forward, has been acquired by Tottenham for £60 million (N30.1bn) and the Brazilian has agreed to a five-year deal.
Bill Kenwright, the chairman of Everton, initially rejected £40m (N20bn) offer because he believed it to be inadequate.
Richarlison underwent his Spurs medical in Brazil while he was still there, but a deal was made later. The North London team made an initial payment of £50 (N25bn) million and an additional addition of £10 million.
Although Everton was dissatisfied with the overall £60 million package, they were forced to accept it so that Frank Lampard would have some negotiating power.
The 25-year-old joins Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, and Yves Bissouma as Spurs’ fourth summer additions.
