Randy Waldrum, the head coach of the Super Falcons, has unveiled his team’s 22-member roster for their international exhibition match against Nadeshiko of Japan.
The squad included regulars Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala, Ashleigh Plumptre, Chiamaka Nnadozie, and Osinachi Ohale.
The other usual playmakers in Waldrum’s squad are the midfielders Regina Otu, Halimatu Ayinde, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, and the forwards Uchenna Kanu, Gift Monday, and Vivian Ikechukwu.
Both nations will use the game as part of their preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which Australia and New Zealand will co-host.
During a recent two-match tour of North Africa, the United States of America defeated the Super Falcons 4-0 and 2-1.
On Thursday, October 6, the friendly match against Japan will take place at Kobe’s Noevir Stadium.
