Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has dropped four players from the club’s tour of the United States.
Fred has not travelled, with the Brazil international linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.
United have announced that Fred is missing from the squad due to a ‘personal issue’ but ‘is expected to join up with the rest of the squad shortly’.
Alex Telles and Eric Bailly are also missing from United’s initial squad list as they aim to complete their departures.
Telles, who spent last season on loan at Sevilla, is on the verge of joining Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in a deal worth £4m.
Bailly, meanwhile, is also looking for a new club and continues to train away from the first-team squad.
Tyrell Malacia has also not travelled to the United States as he continues his recovery from injury.
Meanwhile, Andre Onana arrived at United’s training ground on Wednesday to finalise his £47m move from Inter.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper, who worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax, is expected to join up with his new teammates in the United States once his transfer is complete.
