Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou appears to have blamed the video assistant referee for his side’s defeats to Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday night.
The Blues travelled to the northern side of London on Monday and beat Tottenham 4-1 right in their backyard.
It was the very first time Spurs would be losing a game this season, having been unbeaten for ten games.
The Tottenham boss was not happy with VAR and how long it took to make the decisions during the game.
“I don’t like it, it is the way the game is going,” he told the BBC
“Some of it is self-inflicted because if we come out every week complaining about a decision that is what will happen, every decision gets forensically checked and we will be sitting around for a long time in every game trying to figure out what is going on.
“I don’t like it but I am probably in the wilderness with that because I keep getting told that’s where we want to go.
“I am too old school, I’ll respect the referee’s decision right or wrong. But it is the way the game is going.”
