Thiago Silva has admitted that he is getting tired and might just be playing his season of football

Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva, has announced that his boisterous footballing career is finally nearing its end.

Silva has played and won trophies with clubs in Italy, France, England, South America and of course the Brazilian national team.

Now 38, Silva is widely regarded as one of the greatest backmen of his generation 

The South American is known for his defensive prowess, discipline, and leadership.

“The end of my career is getting closer… it’s not easy,” he told Sky Sports. 

“You’ve to think about when you want to retire, where do you go as a final club, the family, my kids play at Chelsea…

“I’m just focused on enjoying my final year of contract at Chelsea. I don’t know what’s gonna happen next year but I’m very happy with my career.”
