The 2023–24 EPL season will run from August 12, 2023, to May 19, 2024, with a player break in between January 13, and January 20, 2024, the Premier League has confirmed.
On Sunday, May 19, 2024, the final round of games will take place. As is customary, all games will start at the same time.
But with Euro 2024 beginning on June 14, players who compete in the 2024 Champions League final on June 1 will have less than two weeks to get ready. Less than four weeks will be given for other Premier League players who will participate in the tournament to prepare.
The COVID-19 pandemic and this year’s winter break brought on by the World Cup in Qatar, which both caused disruption and fixture congestion during the previous three seasons, have now essentially returned the season schedule to normal.
The league has also declared that no two rounds of games will be played within the same 48-hour period in order to allay Premier League clubs’ worries about the hectic schedule over the Christmas and New Year holiday.
There will be 76 days between the end of the 2022–23 season and the start of the new one for players since the current season is set to end on Sunday, May 28.
After the games on November 13 this season, the Premier League will take a brief break before returning on Boxing Day, December 26.
The Qatar World Cup will run from November 20 through December 18, with the final match.
