Paul Pogba facing four-year ban

With the investigation into his failed drugs test now complete, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is facing a four-year ban from football.

Pogba initially posted a positive test following a Serie A game with Udinese back on August 20.

Elevated levels of testosterone were discovered in his system at that stage, while a B sample also came back positive in October.

The Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office have been looking into the case since then, with said procedural process running its course. It is understood that a request has been made for Pogba to be hit with a four-year suspension.

Pogba was immediately banned from all football activity once the result of his initial test came back, preventing him from playing any further part in Juve’s 2023-24 campaign.

He has been working on a personal fitness programme, but it remains to be seen when he will be cleared to make a competitive return.
