Manchester United has approached Nodri Mukiele ahead of the transfer window opening on June 10th, 2022.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the French full-back, with newly-appointed Erik Ten Hag dissatisfied with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and looking to improve their right-back position.
Mukiele had a successful season with RB Leipzig, appearing in 28 Bundesliga games and scoring once and assisting four times. He also scored his first Champions League goal in a 3-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain this season, indicating that in the correct atmosphere, he can progress and play regular European football.
Manchester United, on the other hand, surrendered and, despite his best efforts, Ralf Rangnick could only lead the Red Devils to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League, clinching a place in the Europa League for next season.
Erik Ten Hag has spotted a problem on the right side of defense in his squad, with Wan-Bissaka unable to perform on the other end of the field in 20 league outings.
Mukiele is expected to leave this summer, according to L’Equipe, because his current contract expires next season, and RB Leipzig will want to recoup as much money as possible for the 24-year-old. According to current estimates, the defender is worth £8.5 million and might be a steal for Manchester United.
United are expected to undergo a major overhaul, with Erik Ten Hag reportedly spending £120 million to renovate every element of the squad. Ajax centre-back Jurien Timber has also been linked with a move to England.
