Why Leicester City and Napoli striker left Super Eagles camp after their draw with Saudi Arabia

Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen and Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho have left the Super Eagles camp in Portugal.

Both players were named in Jose Peseiro’s starting XI in their 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia on Friday evening.

Kemifilani understands that while Kelechi has been excused to attend to pressing family issues, Osimhen is returning to Napoli to attend to his injury concerns.

Both men will not play any part in Nigeria’s international friendly with Mozambique on Monday.

Osimhen is said to have suffered a hamstring injury on Monday and could not continue with the game against Saudi.

In their absence, the likes of Terem Moffi, Victor Boniface and Sadiq Umar are expected to step up.
