An official of the Ghana Football Association, Emmanuel Appiah, has expressed his optimism that their national team will do a very good job against Nigeria when the two West African rivals clash on Friday.
Ghana will play host to Nigeria in the first leg of the crucial Qatar 2022 playoffs at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday night.
Ghanaian reporters on Tuesday reviewed the Super Eagles attack, including spotlights on Odion Ighalo, Osimhen and Umar Sadiq who have been scoring goals regularly their respective clubs this season.
But Appiah while speaking to Complete Sports at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi also on Wednesday said that Ghana was ready eager to earn a Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup spot.
“All I can say is that the whole of Ghana is ready for Friday’s game to start with, before talking about the return leg in Abuja next week Tuesday, and we are eager to reach the World Cup once again,” Appia told Complete Sports.
“You know it’s been quite long that we played in a World Cup, that was at the Brazil 2014 tournament, but we want to be in Qatar this year. We believe we can do it and everything is in place to get there.”
