    Nigeria vs Ghana: FG orders civil servants to close 1pm

    Nigeria vs Ghana

    Civil servants have been ordered by the Federal Government that all government offices will be shut from 1pm on Tuesday.

    This was contained in a statement issued by Dr. Ngozi Onwudiwe, Permanent Secretary (Service Welfare Office) for Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

    Onwudiwa explained this was due to World Cup Play off between Ghana and Nigeria at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja

    “As you are aware, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be meeting the Black Stars of Ghana in continuation of the 2022 FIFA World-Cup Qualifier, Playoff, (Return Leg).

    “There is a need to mobilise support for the Nigerian Team. Consequently, I am directed to inform you that all offices will be closed at 1.00pm on Tuesday, 29 n March, 2022.

    “Permanent Secretaries are requested to give this circular wide publicity to achieve the desired result.”
