The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has said it will announce a new coach for the Super Eagles on Thursday.
This is according to the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, who spoke to PUNCH.
Pinnick stated that the decision was reached after a meeting with the Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare.
He said the Minister advised the NFF just look beyond Jose Peseiro while shopping for a new coach for the national team.
“The outcome of the meeting with the minister was very good and cordial,” Pinnick said.
“All the minister wants is fair play and not just Peseiro, he wants us to weigh other options and we will be announcing the new Eagles coach latest by Thursday.
“I don’t know who that will be yet, because we are talking to many of them and we’ve had zoom meetings with them.”
