Newcastle vs Everton: Starting XIs for 2023/2024 EPL clash

In the absence of the suspended Anthony Gordon, what a perfect time for two-goal man Harvey Barnes to return to the Newcastle starting line-up in his place.

That’s one of four changes Eddie Howe makes from Saturday, with Lewis Hall handed a rare start – only his second in the Premier League – as he shuffles his pack at the back.

Having perhaps learned a lesson from making too many changes in-game on Saturday, it’s left footers on the left and right footers on the right with Emil Krafth in at right-back, while Elliot Anderson also returns in midfield with Joe Willock on the bench.

Four changes to the Everton team beaten at Bournemouth. Vitalii Mykolenko returns with Ashley Young, Idrissa Gueye and Beto also coming in.

The four to drop to the bench are Seamus Coleman, James Garner, Jack Harrison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
