Newcastle United vs Man Utd: Starting XIs for EPL clash confirmed

Eddie Howe names the same starting line-up for the third game in a row.

There’s no return for Sean Longstaff, who is still absent injured from the squad, which means there’s a third Premier League start in a row for 17-year-old Lewis Miley in midfield.

Howe’s injury-hit bench is still down to the bare bones though, with three young players among the substitutes and two goalkeepers.

Luke Shaw moves into the middle of the back four alongside Harry Maguire this evening, chosen ahead of Victor Lindelof who is only on the bench for Man Utd tonight.

That’s the one change from last weekend’s win at Everton, with Diogo Dalot moving across to left-back and Aaron Wan-Bissaka coming into the starting line-up on the right of defence.

Kobbie Mainoo keeps his place in midfield after an impressive performance at Goodison Park last weekend, having been replaced by Sofyan Amrabat for the trip to Galatasaray in midweek.
