Napoli 2-1 Udinese: Osimhen grabs brace to keep Blues in title race 

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen scored twice for Napoli in their Serie A clash against Udinese at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Saturday.

Gerard Deulofeu opened scoring when he gave the visitors the lead in the 22 minute.

Napoli efforts at getting an equalizer were all wadded off by Udinese’ defense to keep the game 0-1 at first-half time.

Osimhen finally equalized for the blues after the resumption of play in the 52 minute through a header.

The Nigerian got his second for the night in the 63rd minute to keep the Parthenopeans in the title race.

Udinese’ chances of equalizing suffered major setback when Mari was sent off in the 82nd minute.

Napoli, 63 points, are second on the Serie A table with just goal difference behind 1st placed AC Milan.

Kemi Filani News recalls that Victor Osimhen also scored a brace against Hellas Verona in last Sunday’s Serie A fixture.

The former U17 world cup star scored in the 14th and 71st minutes to hand the Blues who came into the game from a disappointing home defeat against Inter Milan, a boost in the title race.

The 23-year-old has now scored 11 league goals this season despite injuries and COVID-19 infection setbacks.
