Mixed reactions trail Super Eagles’ 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia

Fans of the Super Eagles were full of mixed reactions following their 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia in an international friendly on Friday evening.

Nigeria found themselves a goal behind after an hour thanks to Salman Al-Faraj, but managed to come back through an own goal.

Kelechi Iheanacho restored the Eagles’ lead, but Mohamed Kanno converted another freekick for Saudi Arabia to force a draw against Jose Peseiro’s men.

This has led to varying reactions from supporters who stayed glued to the game.

Kemi Filani brings you some of them:

@Iamjamieblaq: A lot of work still needed to be done with this Super Eagles team.

@djyobams: I have zero support or patriotism in mean for anything that concerns the super eagles. Ori eku, we no sabi play

@Tee_Classiquem1: Since Vincent Enyeama retired, super eagles have not really been blessed with good goalkeepers at all, all these Uzoho, Okoye and co are not just good enough for this team, imagine going to AFCON next year with Uzoho as our first choice goalkeeper

@PT_DavidFab: Nigeria’s Super Eagles have the talents to win a major tournament, but the technical crew starting from the coach, they are all sh*t

@D_WarEagle: I never thought I would see our midfield do so well only for attack and Uzoho to ruin things. It is good to see Ndidi playing well again. But I think Lookman, Chukwueze and Uzoho did us dirty in this game.

@Sy____Re: Before you insult the super eagles of nigeria, remember Saudi Arabia Beat the current world champions..

@MimiJuwon: Nigeria Super Eagles displayed how low They can be. It is very obvious this match was fixed.
