Liverpool vs Man City: Starting XIs for 2023/2024 EPL clash

As expected, Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden return to Man City’s starting line-up having been rested for the Champions League win over FC Copenhagen in midweek.

There are two changes from City’s last Premier League game, the 3-1 win over Manchester United, with Ruben Dias and Jeremy Doku dropping to the bench for Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez.

Erling Haaland, of course, leads the line for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Ibrahima Konate is not in Liverpool’s matchday squad this afternoon, but Mo Salah does feature on the bench.

Konate’s absence is one of three changes from the midweek win at Sparta Prague. Virgil van Dijk comes into the defence, while Conor Bradley comes in at right-back. Dominik Szoboszlai also comes into the XI.

Andy Robertson and Cody Gakpo drop to the bench for this afternoon’s match.
