Lionel Messi has set a new UEFA Champions League record himself after he scored in Barcelona’s 3-1 victory against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored his 34th goal in the UEFA Champions League to take himself ahead of his arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo whom he was drawn on 33 goals with.
Barcelona are now top in Group F with a progression to the Champions League round of 16.
