La Liga table 2022/23: Updated standings, top 4, and relegation survival

Real Madrid and Barcelona are still engaged in a distant struggle, with the Madridistas currently leading. Barca Real Madrid defeated Sevilla 3-1 on Saturday to earn their tenth victory in as many games, while Barcelona dominated Athletic Club 4-0 behind a hat-trick from Ousmane Dembele.

Real Sociedad, who were in third place, lost shockingly to Real Valladolid, a promoted team, putting a serious dent in their hopes of bridging the gap between the two titans. That allowed Atletico Madrid to pass them after they defeated Real Betis decisively on Sunday.

Elche, who is in last place, is frantically trying to win at Espanyol on Sunday. Girona, a team also in free fall, is attempting to snap a five-game losing streak at home against a team with European aspirations in Osasuna.
