Kwara United vs Sunshine Stars: Super Eagles coach arrives Ilorin for NPFL clash

Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, will be among those watching Kwara United play Sunshine Stars on Sunday at the Ilorin Sports Complex.

Peseiro is on a mission to scout for talented players in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

Eight players were named in his maiden squad for the international friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador.

However, only two were selected for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Guinea-Bissau.

As part of the agreement stipulated in his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation, Peseiro has been mandated to live in Nigeria and watch NPFL games.

Kwara United and Sunshine Stars are both vying for third place in the NPFL, which guarantees a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
