Former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has paid a visit to the Carrington training ground of Manchester United.
According to United’s website, “The Brazilian legend was there on a training course, having enrolled on UEFA’s Masters for International Players’ qualification.”
The 2007 Ballon D’Or winner retired from the professional game back in 2017 after a final spell with Sao Paulo back in his homeland.
“Kaka also attended United’s thrilling 3-1 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford, and was pictured on Instagram alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, goalscorer and debutant Antony, as well as his former international team-mate Julio Cesar,” the club said.
“Highlights of Kaka’s decorated 17-year career at the very top level include the UEFA Champions League he won with Milan back in 2007.
“Milan faced United over two legs in the semi-final and the Brazilian, then aged 25, produced a glittering performance at Old Trafford, scoring twice in a 3-2 defeat.
“Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney (2) were both on the scoresheet to hand Sir Alex Ferguson’s men a slight first-leg advantage.
“Carlo Ancelotti’s Milan side would eventually run out 5-3 aggregate winners, thanks to a 3-0 second leg victory at the San Siro, and they went on to beat Liverpool in that season’s final in Athens.”
