Joe Rodon, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, has signed a loan deal with Ligue 1 team Rennes with the possibility of a permanent transfer.
24-year-old Rodon, who previously played for Swansea City, joined Spurs in October 2020.
Wales’ international, who has earned 27 caps, is an important player for his nation, but since joining Tottenham, he hasn’t managed to make the first team.
“He’s a real central defender,” Rennes sporting director Florian Maurice said.
“He has that aggressive side that we need to allow us to be even more effective defensively.
“He will bring us his experience, even if he did not play all the matches last season he played in the European Cup, as we have seen at Roazhon Park.”
