Jesper Lindstrom, a midfielder for Eintracht Frankfurt, is reportedly the subject of initial negotiations between Arsenal and the club.
Earlier this month, Calciomercato reported that the Gunners would make a serious effort to sign the Denmark star, who is 22 years old.
The dynamic midfielder had an outstanding first season last year, recording five goals and nine assists across all competitions. He also started against Rangers in the Europa League championship.
Numerous clubs, including Barcelona, Milan, Juventus, Roma, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich, have taken notice of his play as a result.
Arsenal has since increased their level of interest in Lindstom. According to Bild, the Gunners are “really hot” on Lindstrom and have spoken with the player’s agents.
The player, who moved from Brondby in the summer of last year, may be acquired for about £17 million.
“Jesper Lindström will bring so, so much to our game and his qualities are certainly going to be a great help to the club,” said Eintracht board member Markus Krosche at the time.
“He is quick and he has shown in Denmark that he has enormous potential. He will give us more options and more variety.”
