Since the Arsenal captain has already scored six goals this season, Martin Odegaard has described how he has added more goals to his arsenal game.
The most recent of those was a 2-0 triumph away at Wolves, where the playmaker from Norway scored a pair of goals at Molineux. Odegaard only managed seven shots throughout the entire 2021–22 season, whereas his personal best was 11 during a loan with Vitesse in the Netherlands. However, after working to enhance his final product, he now feels more prepared to contribute significantly in the final third.
Martin Odegaard’s reaction
After reaching the World Cup break, Odegaard told Arsenal’s official website that he has developed into more of a goal-scoring danger for a group that will be in first place in the Premier League at Christmas.
He said, “I think I’m better at coming into those areas now – I attack the box more. They may not be the most beautiful goals but I’m in the right places and that helps a lot. I’m always happy to help the team with goals.
“It’s a good way to go into the break. We said before the game that we wanted to finish strong and we wanted to bring this good feeling into the break and we did that. We have to come back even stronger and better but at the moment, it’s looking good.”
