I won’t chase third term in office – NFF president, Pinnick

Amaju Pinnick, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has said he will not contest for a third term in office.
Pinnick, who is also a member of the FIFA executive council committee, had been rumoured to be interested in continuing his stay in office.
The former Confederation of African Football (CAF) vice-president tenure will end next month.
Pinnick however stated that the time is right for him to step down from his position.
“There are so many Nigerians capable of being there (NFF boss). I will assist and work with anyone who wins the elections and emerge as president,”Pinnick told Arise TV on Monday.
“That I promise. I will intervene but will not interfere.”
The NFF Annual General Assembly that will set the ball rolling for the Elective Congress will hold on August 18 in Lagos.
The Elective Congress is billed for September.
