I can’t wait to work with Ronaldo, others – Ten Hag

New Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, has said he cannot wait to work with Cristiano Ronaldo, Donny van de Beek and Harry Maguire.
Ten Hag joined United from Ajax after interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, ended his six months tenure with the club.
Holding his first press conference, the Dutchman made it clear that he was keen to see van de Beek again after managing him at Ajax.
Wehn asked about his fellow Dutchman, Ten Hag said: “Yes, of course, we had a fantastic squad in that time in Ajax.
“I really had a good relationship with him and, of course, I’m looking forward to meeting him again on the pitch.”
When also asked if he was enthusiastic to work with Ronaldo, the answer was a straightforward one.
“Of course,” Erik smiled. When asked what last term’s leading scorer can bring, the boss laughed: “Ronaldo? Goals!” He then stressed he would go over his plans with the Portugal international soon.
“I talk first with Ronaldo before I talk with you,” he asserted.
There was also a mention of skipper Harry Maguire during the briefing with journalists, and it is clear Ten Hag appreciates the England centre-back’s talents.
“I have to repeat that next season is a different season but I think he did a great job,” said the manager. “He’s a great player, he’s achieved already a lot really also [with his] contribution to Manchester United. So I’m looking forward to working with him.”
