After reaching a personal agreement with Mikel Arteta’s team, Gabriel Jesus, a forward for Manchester City, is expected to join Arsenal.
Following the signing of Erling Haaland by Pep Guardiola’s team, which moved the Brazilian down the pecking order, Jesus has been linked with a move to the Gunners in recent months.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the player has now approved the transfer after the two clubs finally reached an agreement on Friday for a reported £45 million fee.
“Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal, here we go!” the journalist famous for his transfer announcements said on Twitter, in typical fashion.
“Personal terms fully agreed with his agent Marcelo Pettinati and his two partners. Gabriel signs until 2027, it’s 100% done.
“Arsenal already agreed £45m fee with Man City as revealed on Friday.
“Edu & Arteta, key for the deal.”
In the meantime, Jordi Osei-Tutu has made a permanent switch from Arsenal to Bundesliga team VfL Bochum.
Since January of last year, Osei-Tutu had been a Rotherham United loanee, and it was there that he scored in the EFL Trophy Final victory over Sutton United.
In the summer of 2015, the defender transferred from Reading to Arsenal as a scholar.
This was revealed by Arsenal in a statement posted on its website.
The statement partly read, “Jordi Osei-Tutu has joined Bundesliga side VfL Bochum in a permanent move.”
