Rafael Nadal vs Jordan Thompson: French Open 2022 start time, TV channel, live stream, h2h- how to watch

On Monday, Rafael Nadal begins his quest for a 14th French Open title against Australian Jordan Thompson.

The Spaniard is fifth at Roland Garros, but injuries have hampered his season since winning the Australian Open at the start of the year.

Carlos Alcaraz, the 19-year-old Spaniard who started his tournament with a straight-sets win on Sunday, has gotten a lot of attention in the build-up, but doubting Nadal in Paris hasn’t proven to be a winning strategy in the past.

If he advances to the quarter-finals, he will face Novak Djokovic in a thrilling match, but he has a lot of work ahead of him.

This begins in the first round against world number 82 Jordan Thompson. Thompson has struggled on clay in the past, only making it past the first round of the French Open on two occasions.

Date, venue and start time

Rafael Nadal and Jordan Thompson will face off in the first round on Monday, May 23.

It is expected to begin at around 1:30pm, depending on the length of the matches earlier in the day.

In the second round, the winner will face either Stan Wawrinka or Corentin Moutet.
