Emmanuel Petit, a former Arsenal midfielder, has identified Tammy Abraham, Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling, Wilfried Zaha, and Allan Saint-Maximin as five players Arsenal should sign this summer.
Petit wants Arsenal to add ‘at least’ four new players to boost Mikel Arteta’s team.
Arsenal are four points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham with three games remaining and will guarantee a top-four finish if they beat their north London rivals in a rescheduled Premier League showdown on Thursday.
The former France international believes the Gunners roster has to be strengthened this summer in order to compete with the big guns.
Petit wants Manchester City’s Jesus and Sterling, Roma’s Abraham, Crystal Palace’s Zaha, and Newcastle United’s Saint-Maximin at the Emirates Stadium.
In an interview with Genting Casino, Petit stated:
“Abraham could be a very good option, especially after what happened at Chelsea.
‘I’ve heard big names as well, Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling, I really like Wilfried Zaha, or even someone like Allan Saint-Maximin from Newcastle.
“There are no options, they need at least four players, at least two up front.”
