FIFA ban: Siasia set for return to football management

Former Nigeria international, Samson Siasia, could be set for a return to football management in the coming days.

Siasia is eyeing a job in the local league.

His FIFA ban expires at the end of August, leaving him free to resume coaching.

FIFA had initially slammed a life ban on Siasia over allegations of match fixing.

But his punishment was later reduced to a five-year ban by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

A number of clubs in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and second tier, Nigeria National League (NNL), have already established contact with the former Nantes of France player.

Siasia is expected to decide on his next move at the end of the month.
