Eric Bailly is set to join Olympique Marseille on loan from Manchester United.
In his six years at Old Trafford, the Ivory Coast international has played in just 70 Premier League games due to a variety of injuries.
Bailly appeared in just seven games across all competitions last season, four of which were in the Premier League, and he is far down United’s central defensive pecking order.
Erik ten Hag’s squad includes Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, and Victor Lindelof, so Bailly’s chances of playing first-team football this season are slim.
The 28-year-old is currently close to leaving United on loan, with Ligue 1 powerhouse Marseille nearing a deal that will include a buyout option.
Bailly, who cost the Red Devils about £30 million, was Jose Mourinho’s first acquisition as United manager.
